Kaitlyn has decided that bedtime is boring. So, she has been getting out of bed and bringing things into her bed to keep her entertained. The obvious things are cars, toys, or books, even if it's so dark she can't see them. The not-so-obvious though are things like her step-stool or her container of Huggies wipes. I'm not sure why she does this, although she always has had a fascination with pulling the wipes out of the container. I can handle this... just as long as I don't have to find her enveloped in a sea of wipes some night. I did find her in bed with the wipes after she woke up from her nap today. As soon as I walked in she greeted me with a warning that she had "poopies". Sigh.
One surprise for me happened the other night when I went in to check on her after she had fallen asleep. I opened up her door and looked in to her room to find a bare butt staring me in the face. Yes, she had taken off her pj bottoms AND had taken off her diaper. Thankfully, the diaper was still clean and she hadn't gone to the bathroom in her sleep. WHEW. Crisis averted. I had to laugh though, my baby girl was "mooning" me! ;)
James went to his second dental appointment today. What a success! I absolutely can't fathom WHY he is so good in the dental chair. Of course I'm not complaining, but I really have to give high marks to the hygienist and whoever made the decision to put in flat screen LCD TVs above the patient's chair. Brilliant! I fear, however, that Kaitlyn Beth will throw them a curve ball once her turn rolls around! Ha.
